Dear Mr. Gibson,
I liked your article in today’s G&M. If writing was approached and supported like a sport, I’ve no doubt that Canada would produce more champion novelists. To become an elite writer, the aspiring novelist would need to develop the discipline and work habits of top athletes. In addition to genius, the great 18th and 19th century novelists resembled elite athletes in their work habits.
